Head of HR

International – Development – Growth

Do you aspire to lead the development of HR strategies in an international, ambitious, and well-established company? As the new Head of HR at Ergonomic Solutions, you will be a part of the Executive Team and have overall responsibility for the HR department, including leadership and collaboration with the other HR team member, who primarily handles administrative and operational tasks. Furthermore, you will play a central role in shaping and driving HR strategy, influencing organizational development, integrating sustainability principles into HR policies, and ensuring alignment with business goals at a senior level. You will have a broad interface across the entire organization, both in Denmark and internationally, and you will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external partners. This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark, while becoming part of a collaborative culture built on trust, integrity, and continuous learning.

As the Head of HR, you will report directly to the company’s CEO, with whom you will have a close collaboration. Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Contribute to the development of the company culture and strategy, particularly by advising HR implications of strategic decisions
    • Develop plans and programs, in conjunction with the Executive Team, for the ongoing development of the organization, its management and employees
    • Maintain and develop organizational culture, beliefs and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and other relevant stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain initiatives to support the Group’s ESG program, particularly related to employee well-being, human rights and ethics.
    • Attend Executive Management Board and, when required, Group Board Meetings
    • Provide support and advice to managers as requested and manage complex and difficult situations, such as grievance and disciplinary cases
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HR legislation and develop and implement employee policies and procedures
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff in accordance with company beliefs, procedures, policies, and relevant employment law
    • Conduct formal reviews for direct reporting staff
    • Develop and run internal training courses, workshops, and seminars and manage the Insights Discovery Program
    • Develop company training plans and budgets (including follow-ups and reviews)
    • Produce HR KPIs and conduct the ES Team (employee) survey
  • Provide all forecasts, reports, and budget submissions according to published standards and timetables

To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you hold a relevant business degree or possess equivalent professional experience. Additionally, you must have at least three years of solid experience in HR management within an international organization. A foundational understanding of psychology, motivational aspects, as well as organizational and management theory, is essential. Familiarity with ‘Insights Discovery’ or similar tools would be considered an advantage. You demonstrate a high level of fluency in both written and spoken English. Speaking one or two additional languages, with Danish preferred, is considered a strong asset.

You are based within a reasonable commuting distance from the company’s location in Nørresundby. Furthermore, you should be prepared to travel approximately 20 days per year.

You are characterized by strong interpersonal skills, tact, empathy, and an analytical approach to problem-solving. With a hands-on mindset and excellent communication skills, you build relationships across the organization and ensure progress. You are ambitious, self-driven, and proactive, with the courage to make tough decisions and the ability to exert influence while remaining flexible and open to change. Your willpower and ability to delegate effectively make you a driving force in delivering results and promoting organizational development.
