Head of Marketing

Leadership – Retail Technology – International environment

As Head of Marketing, you will report to the CEO, and as part of the Executive Team, be responsible for the leadership and management of the Marketing Team which currently consists of six people in UK, DK and the US. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to grow revenues in new and existing markets, and you lead market and customer research and analytics projects to drive product, market and channel development. You develop and implement processes for the creation and maintenance of marketing content and materials to ensure brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts like events, email campaigns, web pages, social media and promotional material. You maintain appropriate systems for measuring the effectiveness of events and campaigns against agreed targets as well as you develop and maintain alliances and relationships with third parties that can impact positively upon the company’s effectiveness. You furthermore ensure the development of “go to market” plans for new products, identifying target customer groups, channels to market, pricing and promotion.

As part of The Executive Team you contribute to the development of Group Strategic Plans and implement marketing plans to support the group’s strategic objectives. In this regard, you propose, agree and manage the Marketing Budget.  

We expect you to have extensive experience across the marketing disciplines including digital marketing as well as solid experience with marketing leadership. It is considered a huge advantage, if you have experience of Retail Systems, Shopfitting, Technology Mounting or a related sector. It is also an advantage, if you are familiar with the Challenger Sales Model.

As a person you are positive, ambitious and result-driven, and you take ownership for your responsibilities. You are strategic thinking, creative and innovative. You have strong organisational, planning and execution skills and keen attention to details. You show initiative and work independently, which makes you capable of working under tight deadlines and juggle different tasks simultaneously. You are known for your commercial awareness and business acumen as well as your excellent leadership and influence skills. You have an excellent understanding of the customer as well as strong research, analytics and benchmarking skills. Your communication skills are excellent, which makes you able to clearly put across ideas. Furthermore, you are IT and digital savvy.  

You will be based in Epsom in Surrey and are expected to live or take up residence in sensible commuting distance from here. Due to the international aspect of the position, frequent travel must be expected in this position – approximately 50-60 days annually.
