Warehouse Production Manager
SpacePole Inc. is looking for a new Warehouse Production Manager, who will be an important part of our team. You must have hands-on manufacturing experience to be considered for this position. You will report to the Finance and Operations Manager in Atlanta. Your primary day-to-day responsibility will include personnel management, production planning and controlling, ensuring the right lead times, quality assurance, managing the temporary workers needed to fill in peaks and identifying needs in assembly for purchase to execute. You will also be responsible for overseeing that the input from assembly into the ERP-system is valid and correct.
You will have a central role in managing the assembly facility in Atlanta. It is important you understand the culture of SpacePole Inc. and adapt the values and visions we have for doing business. You will be carrying a torch in regards to ensuring that processes are implemented in a professional manner that reflects the premium brand of SpacePole Inc. We expect you to continuously seek improvement and development opportunities in your function. To ensure you get the culture under your skin and fully understand the processes, you will have 5 days of training in Denmark soon after you come on board.
Key tasks will include:
You will be a success when deliveries are on time, in the right quality and working to agreed standards. Furthermore, meeting your budget and communicating with stakeholders in a timely manner are considered key to your success.
The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background with hands-on experience working as a production manager. Knowledge of steel and composite materials is a plus but not required. You should have experience with production planning, inventory management, as well as a technical knowledge of assembly and the tools and processes associated to this.
You may have some technical degree, but this is not a demand in this position. Knowledge and experience of assembly processes in a manufacturing environment combined with management experience and knowledge of stock management is what we are looking for. If you have a forklift certification this is an advantage.
We expect you to have excellent planning capabilities and a structured and systematic approach to your work, are quality conscious, have a strong sense of detail, a “can do” attitude, good interpersonal skills and natural ability to lead a team. You are able to keep calm when things get busy and willing to work hard to reach your deadlines.
You will be based in Norcross and expected to live or take up residence in sensible commuting distance from here.
