Manager of Boilers & Heaters

Commercial Leadership - Business development – Sales & Marketing

As our new Manager of Boilers & Heaters, you will report to the Head of Boiler Sales. You will be overall business responsible for the Capital Sales of Boilers and Heaters and ensure targets are meet, i.e. global order intake, global market share, gross margins and profitability.  

You will lead both employees and a manager. This means you will have four direct reports - one of these a manager with seven. Furthermore, you will be part of the Boiler Sales Unit management team.

The position has an important role as liaison between different departments within the organization, e.g. across the Business Unit, the management team, the Business Unit Boiler & Gas Systems, Sales Companies and other Group Functions and our external customers. Your responsibility in this liaison is ensuring that Alfa Laval has the right customer focus and knowledge of customer needs to drive us to the next level. You need to question the status quo and explore our customers’ needs to keep Alfa Laval in the leading market position in a constant changing market.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Overall business responsible for the Capital Sales of boilers and heaters
  • Lead, shape and motivate a fantastic team of highly motivated members of the Boilers & Heaters Unit
  • Drive enthusiasm and awareness in your organization for top and bottom line results
  • Continuously improve sales and performance to meet and exceed agreed targets
  • Commercialize the deep in-house technical knowledge and make it digestible and easy to understand with a strong commercial acumen
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with Sales companies and agents.
  • Prepare and assists with training and develop drivers and sales specialists in our markets
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting, including market trends
  • Identify new business opportunities and supporting product development by providing updated market analyses
  • Develop business cases, brand Alfa Laval and our products both internal and externally
  • Marketing – customer focus through segmentation etc.

Who you are?

You are a motivating commercial leader with an extremely good technical understanding or educational background on bachelor or master level.

In terms of career you are already a successful manager in an international commercial-oriented organization preferably within the Marine Industry. You have developed strong communicating and negotiating skills at a higher level in English.

In addition to the educational background and working experiences, you are characterized by;

  • Having great people skills with ability to create and maintain strong relationships
  • Having a sharp strategic and analytical mindset with strong planning and organizational skills

The position is based in Aalborg and the candidate is expected to live in reasonable commuting distance from the office.

Due to the international nature of the position, the candidate should be prepared to travel regionally and internationally for approximately 80 days a year.
