Global Sales & Service Manager

Membrane Technology – Change Management – People management

As our new manager for Global Sales & Service for membranes, you will report to the VP of Global Sales and have a dotted line reference to the VP of Global Service. You will be responsible for leading the sales and service activities related to complete systems and parts for the process, pharmaceutical and biotech industries as well as the food and beverage industry. You will lead the membrane team of 9 people responsible for both Sales and Service in driving and supporting sales through our sales companies.

In this leadership role you enjoy engaging and aligning your team to the bigger picture of the Membrane System Sales and Service, our whole Business Unit and Alfa Laval in total – by giving continuous feedback, nurturing talent, driving team performance and collaboration with an inspiring team spirit.

You have a customer centric mindset along with a strong passion for processes, projects and membranes. You are expected to develop the business within the team, enable presence and competence in key sales companies, and we expect you take a holistic view in combination with some operational responsibilities.

You are expected to work closely with our Sales Companies, Product Management, Engineering & Supply, Manufacturing and Test & Application to secure an outstanding customer experience over the full system lifecycle. The Sales & Service team is expected to give market feed-back on customer requirements and processes, driving our future membrane development.

Your key tasks:

  • Grow the global membrane business for Sales and Service
  • Ensure long term competence in sales companies for membranes
  • Enable/drive the 2020 strategy
  • Support the Sales Companies in technical and commercial matters
  • Develop and manage the team competences and priorities
  • Secure a successful change into a “BeOne” sales & service team
  • Being close to the market, support the team in the decision making process and being close to operational matters

The ideal candidate has a technical education at bachelor or master level. You may have a commercial background as well. Most important is your management skills and your ability to lead changes combined with a technical understanding within the process industry and/or membrane technology. You have solid IT-skills and it is expected that you have excellent communications skills in English in writing and speech.

As a person you are energetic, self-motivated and hands-on. You have excellent management skills and it is essential that you communicate effectively. Furthermore, you have a good strategic and analytical understanding as well as an international mindset.

The position is based in Denmark (Nakskov/Copenhagen) and you are expected to live in reasonable commuting distance. You should be prepared to travel regionally and internationally on regular basis.
